Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how you can see or correct it. We’ve written it in plain English and based it on the Australian Privacy Principles.

Last updated 27 September 2026.

Who we are

This website is run by Plain Sense Consulting (ABN 99 885 484 569) (“we”, “us”), which makes Live Hospitality POS. This policy covers this website only. It doesn’t cover information a venue stores in its own Live Hospitality POS system; that is covered by the venue’s agreement with us.

What we collect

We only collect what you type or upload in our forms:

When you send a form we also record the page you sent it from, the country your connection comes from (provided by Cloudflare), and the time. The forms include a hidden spam-check field and the time the page loaded, which we use only to filter out automated spam.

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t ask you to create an account.

Why we collect it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange and run a demo, and follow up about Live Hospitality POS if you asked about it. We won’t add you to a marketing mailing list without your permission, and we don’t sell or rent personal information.

You don’t have to give us your details, but without a name and email address we can’t reply to you.

How it’s handled and who helps us

When you send a form, your details are emailed to Plain Sense Consulting. We use these service providers to do that:

These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Japan. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and keep reasonable business records. If you don’t become a customer, we delete your enquiry no later than 24 months after our last contact with you. If you do become a customer, we keep it with your customer records.

Keeping it secure

This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form submissions go straight to our email provider and aren’t stored in a database on this website. Access to our inbox is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send your request through our contact form and tell us it’s a privacy request. We’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Complaints

If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, please tell us through the contact form first so we can try to put it right. We’ll respond within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): visit oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints or call 1300 363 992.
